Syrup soaked cranberries in Sugared Cranberry Recipe- A Festive Garnish

Making sugared cranberry recipe is a simple process.  Start by heating sugar and water in a small sauce pan until the sugar dissolves.  Drop fresh cranberries into the pan to coat with the syrup.  Sugar coated cranberries in Sugared Cranberry Recipe- A Festive Garnish

Let the syrup soaked cranberries dry for 1 hour before rolling them in more sugar.  It’s that simple!

Sugared Cranberries

2 cups sugar, divided

½ cup water

1 12-ounce package of fresh cranberries

In a medium saucepan, heat water and ½ cup sugar.  Stir the mixture often until sugar is dissolved.  Remove the sugar mixture from the heat and add cranberries.  Toss to coat well.  Remove cranberries with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a wire rack to dry for 1 hour.  Add remaining sugar to a plate and roll cranberries in the sugar.  Let them dry on a parchment lined counter for 2 hours.  Store cranberries in an air tight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.  If they begin to weep, give them another coating of sugar.

Enjoy Sugared Cranberry Recipe a festive garnish for all your holiday recipes.
