As I prepare for another trip to Paris with my 2026 group, I find myself thinking about little things the French do so beautifully, those everyday objects that quietly elevate daily life.
Over the years, I’ve discovered a handful of simple treasures in Paris that have become favorites back home. Not grand souvenirs, but thoughtful purchases that bring a bit of French elegance into the everyday.
I thought it might be fun to share a few of them with you over the next few weeks—a small series of Parisian luxuries that are absolutely worth slipping into your suitcase, or logging on to have shipped straight to your door.

I’ll begin with something unexpectedly wonderful…
Last September, I discovered a brush by La Bonne Brosse, and it has become a favorite purchase from Paris and part of my daily routine.
At first glance, it looks like an average brush, purchased at the local superstore, but take a closer look.
This brush is beautifully crafted, balanced in the hand, and simple in the best possible way. The magic is in the bristles. Many La Bonne Brosse hair brushes are made with boar bristles, long prized for their ability to care for hair.

Because the bristles contain keratin, similar to our own hair, they gently distribute the scalp’s natural oils from root to tip, leaving hair smoother, shinier, and noticeably healthier.
The effect is surprisingly transformative. A few thoughtful strokes and the hair settles beautifully into place—soft, polished, and somehow effortlessly French. It does not seem possible, but using this brush seems to keep hair in place better than any hairspray could.

La Bonne Brosse was founded by beauty insiders who wanted to revive the lost art of making beautiful hairbrushes. Each style is available in a variety of colors, and every brush is crafted in France using traditional techniques and elegant materials designed to last for years.
What was once an ordinary task becomes a daily ritual steeped in elegance — capturing the essence of a perfect Paris purchase, something simple, beautifully crafted, and luxurious.
Each morning when I reach for my brush, I’m reminded, just for a moment, of Paris. And that’s the best gift of all.
Au revoir for now!
Lorie
