Raspberry Compote over Brie Recipe

Raspberry Compote over Brie Recipe hits all the right flavor notes and could be your new favorite appetizer!  Sweet, buttery, crunchy and chewy all in one bite keeps you craving just one more taste of this delectable concoction.    

As we prepare for Thanksgiving and head into “appetizer season”  I’ll be sharing some of my tastiest tidbits that can be made in a matter of minutes! Stay tuned over the coming weeks for  a bevy of new treats to make and try.

tasty Raspberry Compote over Brie Recipe

Making Raspberry Compote over Brie is really easy.  Just brown nuts in butter and add raspberry jam, the zest and juice of an orange, dried cherries and a few drops of vanilla and you have something really special.  Pour the compote over room temperature cheese and serve it with French bread or crackers and you will have a happy crowd!

Raspberry Compote over Brie

1 brie wedge

2 tablespoons butter

1 sprig fresh rosemary plus more for garnish

¼ cup raw walnuts, chopped

¼ cup raw pistachios

¼ cup seedless raspberry jam

¼ cup dried cherries

Juice and zest of 1 orange

½ teaspoon vanilla

Pinch salt

In a small sauce pan melt the butter over medium heat.  Add the nuts and rosemary and cook for 1-2 minutes until nuts are brown.  Add remaining ingredients to saucepan and simmer slowly until mixture is thick.  Remove rosemary and pour over room temperature cheese and serve.
