Apple Rosemary Martini Recipe tastes like fall. The sweet unmistakable flavor of unfiltered apple juice takes you right back to childhood but only for a second; next the warmth of the vodka and the balancing act the lemon bitters play, bring you firmly back to Friday night. Or whatever night you’d like to indulge!
We are officially in apple season through late November so in the coming weeks I’ll be sharing some of my all-time favorite apple recipes. Did you have a chance to see the Bouquet of Roses Tart I posted earlier this week? It’s a stunner!
I wanted to get you ready for the weekend with a scrumptious cocktail that’s a breeze to make and is sure to become a best-loved recipe for autumn.
Stock the fridge with the simple ingredients so you will be ready for that wave across the street, beckoning a neighbor towards your front steps for a few minutes of visiting.
Folks, can you tell I am ready to socialize?
Of course, I believe we need to all do our part to social distance and keep our germs to ourselves but with the crispness of fall in the air, my mood has lifted and I feel ready to break bread with friends again.
Instead of thinking about the things we can’t do, maybe focusing on what we CAN do will help. Invite a few neighbors to pull up lawn chairs on the driveway for an hour or so. Or offer chairs around the backyard to a few friends. The window of beautiful weather in Texas is often short, so plan to capitalize on it!
Making Apple Rosemary Martinis is so easy, you can make them one at a time or fill a whole pitcher. Just top each cocktail with a bit of sparkling water as you pour it up.
I like to make these cute garnishes for my Apple Rosemary Martinis, just cut an apple into wedges. Pull the last few leaves off of a sturdy rosemary branch and poke the tip though the apple wedge.
Did you know there are many apple varieties that do not turn brown when they are sliced? It’s true! This is a list of my favorites: Ambrosia, Cameo, Cortland, Gala, Empire, Opal and Golddust. Recently, a new variety, Artic has been added to this list, it was genetically modified to resist oxidation when sliced.
Apple Rosemary Martini
2 ounces vodka
2 ounces unfiltered apple juice
Dash lemon bitters
1-ounce club soda
Garnish
1 sprig rosemary
Apple wedge
Shake vodka with juice and ice and pour into a glass. Top with a splash of club soda and serve with a sprig of rosemary and apple wedge for garnish.
Tip: for more rosemary flavor, shake the martini with an additional spring of rosemary and remove before pouring into the glass.
I hope you will try my Apple Rosemary Martini Recipe this fall, it is sure to become one of your favorite cocktail recipes!
