On March 14th, I hosted a Launch party to celebrate a New Chapter at A Taste of Paris. Of course, as subscribers, you were all invited to join the fun. And what fun we had!!
It’s hard to believe that 3 weeks have passed. It’s been an absolute whirlwind at my desk! I can’t wait to tell you all about the festivities and what has been happening since.
What were we celebrating? The launch of my brand-new website that was many months in the making. It’s like a grown-up version of what I had before, click over to see the new digs. I’m especially proud of the Trip Gallery Photos, all those smiling faces bring me so much joy!
The blog is now called Le Rapport. I’ll still be sending great recipes your way, a blog post about every other week, and I’ll be bringing you all of my favorite ideas, places, and French inspiration. In addition, I’ll begin a new feature called The Travel Diaries, which will feature some of my past travelers. This project brings me so much happiness because you’ll get a bird’s eye view of just how remarkable my travelers are. Stay tuned for the first installment coming very soon.
Now to the PARTY! The house was full, I had about 75 visitors, all ready to toast and celebrate!
Each A Taste of Paris trip had its own table, featuring a magazine-style brochure filled with colorful photos, food, books and and tidbits found in that region of France. This is the Provence table.
We also launched for the first time, a trip to The Loire Valley. This brand new trip sold out in 48 hours and I’m thrilled to add this destination to the ATOP offering!!!
Of course ATOP trips to Paris are my flagship, where it all started back in 2015! Click the blue link to see the last 2 seats for 2025!!!
The evening presented plenty of excitement. Any guests who registered for a trip at the party, rang a champagne bell and was presented with a flute of champagne along with a mini Moet for later and one of these darling hand-painted canvases by Crystal R. Cox, a well-known artist who is originally from the Dallas area. The canvasses were created just for ATOP and this one is titled April in Paris!
This one is titled, Sunflowers in Provence!
I served French 76’s, topped with a lovely crémant de Loire and rose wine and a good time was had by all! The evening finished up with a dessert board that was out of this world! We dove into it so quickly, that I did not get a still shot but tune into my Instagram page today and you will see how I made it!
There will be about 10 party videos on social this week, be sure and check them out!
Thanks for letting me reminisce about a truly magical evening for A Taste of Paris and I hope you will stay tuned for lots more good stuff coming your way!

Hi Molly
Thank you so much for your kind words. And thank you for that tip on legibility- I will raise it with my web people!!
XO Lorie
Beautifully, well done website and blog! Your inclusion of so many fun aspects of French life makes one want to join in the escapade for sure! And this is so very user friendly!
May I please make one small suggestion? If you’d like to use a different color to accentuate a new paragraph, may I suggest, rather than a light color, (like the gold you chose) perhaps something that stands out a bit more, like maybe a green, soft blue or turquoise? Or, if you want the gold, perhaps embolden, so the letters/wording don’t disappear back into the white/cream background? I found it almost impossible to read on my mobile device. I’m sure it wouldn’t be that difficult on an actual computer, but the light color is hard to read on a small screen.
I’m so looking forward to many more issues!
