Nothing brightens up a home like a front door refresh! I’m a huge fan of freshening up your front door space several times a year.
To get started with my spring refresh, I stripped all of the old plants out of the pots and gave the front door a good cleaning. I also removed the large mat to sweep underneath and got everything super clean.
I picked up this fun Frenchie metal bin at a local mercantile shop several years ago. I always get 2 large airy ferns to drop into the bin. If watered regularly they will last till the first frost and they give the front door such a casual welcoming vibe.
Several years ago, I made these fun door hangings for the front door. See how to make them in Front Door Update. I love that these unusual wreaths really do say welcome!
I was unable to find cone-shaped topairies for the concrete urns that flank my front door so I settled for these tiny Lemon Cypress trees for the center. The bright spring green color pops against the other flowering plants. Bright pinkish purple petunias work with Bacopa, tiny white flowers, and blue daze a medium blue bloom that will go all summer long.
Ah, now my front door is all ready for spring!
