Summer is the best time to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables! I think I can squeeze in one more favorite summer salad before the season is officially over.
I love this salad because it includes one of my favorite summer fruits, nectarines. I simply cannot get enough of these ripe sweet and tart stone fruits and I’m always sad when the season is over.
My cool crisp summer salad hits all of the right flavor notes, I talk about this in my recent post, Anatomy of the Perfect Salad. The avocado gives the salad a rich creamy note, the Marconas give that much needed crunch, the blueberries give you that juicy sensation, the nectarines give it sweetness and the greens make it crisp. These are the salads that make you dive in again and again.
If you have time to make one more salad this season, try my Summer Salad, you’ll be glad you did!
