Hello from Downtown McKinney

Hello from Downtown McKinney

Hello from Downtown McKinney

After more than three years of dreaming, planning, waiting, and wondering when the day would finally come…I’m so happy to tell you that we’re home.

Those of you who have been cooking with me, traveling with me, and following along over the past few years have heard countless updates about this project. You celebrated the milestones, encouraged us through the delays, and believed with us that one day we’d finally turn the key.

Well…that day has arrived, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

We are home

I’ll be sharing plenty of photos of the house in the weeks ahead, but before I show you the rooms, I’d rather show you something even more meaningful.

Hello from Downtown McKinney

Our daughter, Brooke, and our son-in-law, Chris, surprised us with the most thoughtful housewarming gift I’ve ever received.

Hello from Downtown McKinney

They created a beautiful wine box filled with housewarming rituals—raising a glass to the future, celebrating the years of hard work that brought us here, lighting three candles to represent the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, along with one candle for each year this dream was in the making.

Hello from Downtown McKinney

Tucked inside was a framed keepsake explaining the significance of our new address, a reminder that this home is so much more than bricks and mortar. It’s a place of faith, family, gratitude, and new beginnings.

Hello from Downtown McKinney

As I settle into this new season, I can’t help but think of all the memories still waiting to be made around this table.

My prayer is that this home will always be a place of hospitality, laughter, learning, and generous hearts. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I can’t wait to welcome you inside.

XOXO Lorie
