Glorious is the only word I can use to describe Brooke’s wedding shower that was held this past Saturday, July 25th.
Two of my closest friends, Vonda Cloutier and Karen Taylor, hosted the magnificent event in Vonda’s McKinney home.
When we walked into the house, we were met with a fabulous balloon arch made of shades of pink and dusty lavender, the brides wedding colors. The precious glitter banner with the bride and grooms’ names was the icing on the cake and made a fantastic backdrop for lots of picture taking!
Beautiful packages were piled high!
Serving a buffet for the event seemed impossible in light of the current situation. What an incredibly creative idea the hosts had to create boxed lunches that looked like presents for each guest!
The boxes were piled high on an assortment of antique boards creating a lovely foundation to an amazing tables-cape.
It was fun to see each guests’ face light up as they made their selection!
The boxes were tied with grosgrain ribbon and adorned with bright pink Gerber daisies or pink berries and baby’s breath.
Each box had personalized wrappers to hold the napkin and utensils so all the guests needed to do, was select a box and spread out in Vonda’s expansive home to enjoy!
The event was catered by Spoons, a downtown McKinney institution, famous for their mouthwatering chicken salad and amazing sweet treats! Each box held a chicken salad sandwich, pasta salad, 2 mini quiches, berries and a trio of delicious sweet bars; chocolate and peanut butter, golden cake with pecan topping and rich chocolate brownies!
The sterling silver teapots holding puffy white hydrangeas along with this glitter topper were the perfect finishing touches to that stunning table!
Champagne flutes were lined up in tidy rows filled with French Mimosas; champagne and Chambord, a black raspberry liquor, known in French cafes as Kir Royale!
Finally, it was time to open all of those pretty packages!

A picture with some of her lovely bridesmaids, Rachelle, Aubree, maid-of-honor, Hannah and Nora.
As guests were leaving, they were invited to take a gorgeous cookie. Each one was like a little piece of artwork!
A few more pictures just for fun!

Thanks for letting me share this slice of heaven on earth! Truly the prettiest party I’ve ever attended!!
Huge hugs and kisses to Vonda and Karen, two of the most creative and generous people I know! I am truly blessed.
