For Brooke’s wedding we had hoped to have a gigantic grazing table in the center of the room for cocktail hour.  Alas, with all of the changes this season we had to pivot to appetizer boxes filled with tasty goodies.

We had lots of discussion about how we could offer an assortment of cheese, meats crackers and other yummy goodies to our guests in a way that would be visually appealing.

While searching for a caterer for lunch on the day of the wedding, I came across Thyme and Tequila.  Thyme and Tequila is a McKinney based, small business that specializes in cheese boards and boxes.

After a quick conversation with Kristi DeVault, the owner and creative behind this emerging brand, I knew we had our solution!

Within a few days, Kristi dropped off an assortment of precious boxes stuffed with goodness for us to try.

Are these the cutest things you’ve ever seen?

After spending some time enjoying the boxes, we came up with a selection that we thought would be perfect for the wedding guests.

Each box was artfully packed, tied with ribbon and either topped with a tiny rosebud or sprigs of greenery.

The boxes were so charming stacked on waiters’ trays and passed to all of the guests as they enjoyed a libation or two!

We were so grateful to Kristi and Thyme and Tequila for getting our vision and making it happen in short order!

Oh, and how sweet was this fruit and cheese box that was enjoyed by the bride and her attendants on wedding day? Just gorgeous!
