Dining at the Chef’s Table
In April 2026, I’ll be taking a group back to the Loire Valley—and I still have a few seats left.
One of the things that makes this excursion so special are the extraordinary cooking classes woven into our itinerary.

At A Taste of Paris, I’m always searching for the out-of-the-ordinary, the experiences that are rare and hard to find. And both of our classes in the Loire Valley fit that description perfectly.

It’s a rare privilege as an American traveler to be welcomed into a French person’s home, and that’s exactly what happens.

We’re invited straight into the chef’s kitchen, where we’ll cook alongside the chef and then gather at the table to enjoy the meal. What makes it truly remarkable is that much of what we prepare comes directly from the chef’s own land.

The people of the Loire Valley are passionate about growing their own food and preserving it in countless ways. A remarkable part of these classes is that we may even step outside to snip fresh herbs or harvest vegetables for our dishes!

Recipes are created on the spot with what’s available, making the class feel personal and alive. It’s convivial, welcoming, and yes—just like being in a chef’s home, because you are.

The table is always rustic and beautiful, often with fresh flowers, and the meal unfolds over four courses, each paired with wine.

Along the way, the chef invites us to help, to taste, and to share in the creation. It’s more than a class—it’s a memory you’ll keep forever.

The second class is just as extraordinary.
In more than 12 years of taking groups to France, I’ve never offered a bread class—until now.

I adore European breads and have studied them widely, but it’s hard to find a quality, comprehensive opportunity that fits into a one-day class. In the Loire Valley, I discovered one.

Together, we’ll mix, knead, let the dough rest, and shape our loaves. Then we’ll gather around the table to savor not only the breads but also the dishes we’ve prepared to accompany them.

The scent of baking bread filling the kitchen is always a highlight and makes this experience unforgettable.

Only a few seats remain for this magical trip.
I would love to have you along for a spring romp through the Loire Valley—
